Today’s Game Notes

Recapping Yesterday… In a back-and-forth battle, the
Kannapolis Intimidators saw a six run lead erased, but eventually won the
contest 11-10 against the Augusta GreenJackets on Friday night to even the
series at one game each.

Winning Streak?…The Intimidators have not tasted
back-to-back wins since May 30th when they won three straight, so
“it has happened before.” The Intimidators have lost ten straight games the day
after a win and go for their 11th attempt at two straight wins in
over a month.

Seventh Heaven… For the second time in a week, the
Intimidators score the most they have in a single inning, seven, off the
Augusta GreenJackets last night. Previously the Intimidators had four six-run
innings and now two seven-run innings. Also, dealing with the number seven,
Cameron Bayne allowed seven straight hits, the most of any pitcher for or
against the Intimidators in the fifth inning.

Feeling Hot Hot Hot…Last night’s official game
temperature was three degrees higher than any other games the Intimidators have
played this season and the hottest game in the SAL yesterday by 8 degrees. In
fact, the gametime temp in Augusta was a whole 29 degrees hotter than in West
Virginia where the start time temp was only 73 degrees.

Starting Strong…The newest Intimidator, Ryan Hamme is
5-for-9 with two extra base hits in his first two games with the team.
